Kentucky Warbler by Chris Bennett
Redden State Forest hosts a great diversity of bird life!
Well maintained trails and logging roads provide easy access to some of the best mixed pine/hardwood forest in southern Delaware. With luck we will see and hear a wide variety of forest nesting birds including breeding Kentucky, Worm-eating, Yellow-throated, Black-and-white and Pine Warblers, Ovenbird, Louisiana Waterthrush, Summer and Scarlet Tanager and Red-headed Woodpecker. Migrant songbirds including warblers, Rose-breasted Grosbeak and thrushes are also possible. We will be hiking around 4 miles during this trip.
